I had same issue with my physical copie that some player noted here with Windows Seven. Unfortunatly, Dxwnd doesn't work for me. But it works with dgVoodoo2 (free and easy to find on the net). Copy dgVoodooCpl + dgVoodoo.conf + D3D8.dll + D3DImm.dll + DDraw.dll in the main directory of the game where is F18.exe. Launch dgVoodooCPL: in DirectX Tab ->video card: choose GeForce4 Ti 4800 and uncheck dgVoodoo Watermark. Launch CONFIG.exe for F18 configuration: in Display Tab, you should see or choose dgVoodoo DirectX Wrapper. And finally, i have put compatibility mode for F18.exe in Windows XP SP2 + run as administrator. Hope it will be helpfull.
