They literally stole the essence of fabulous game that's we are all waiting for to come out -- called Hollywood Animal. I bought it just so I can write down this review, the best spent 1$ ever! -Why? Because this game is not even worth them giving money to us (users) to play this trash. It's buggy, very early code of game mentioned above finished without any imagination or upgrade. It's ridiculously done, it looks very cheap and plays very awkwardly; doesn't even have a "spirit" like some other charismatic cartoonish style games (Two Point Hospital for example) and it lacks any dept or originality/innovation (since it's clearly a copy of the game) or even some interesting mechanic that revolves around. DO NOT BUY IT, NOT EVEN ON A MAJOR DISCOUNT (well unless you wanna put down similar comment)!
Even tho I have a non-GOG version of this game had to write this review because this is such a jewel to have and I like that it finally came to GOG as well! Ballance was super fun to play and one of the early puzzle games with unique mechanics and idea that is very well done! Unfortunately, they absolutely messed everything up with the atrociously bad Ballance 2, but hey we can all enjoy this gorgeous original. And yes, it's the same as an old/original game, if you are pixely retro graphics lover (like I am) then you'll definitely adore this. Big kudos to GOG. :)
It's one of the most complete game from XCOM franchise with all the DLCs available, it can keep you playing for hundred of hours. Unfortunately, from last year (2021) game won't launch. It just freezes either black screen that cannot be removed in any way other than PC restart or the tiny white square that's frozen in top left and it just stands like that for eternity. I played this game as a non-GOG version and it worked perfectly. Now my question is... Does GOG supports The Alternative Mod Launcher (AML) and can I launch it over it or via any other alternative launcher/solution? It would be appreciated if GOG could put that in the description of this whole bundle, since it's painful to spend so much money on it when it just won't launch.
I'm just finding out myself that there are some pretty big YT channels that NEVER played any of games from this franchise before. People, you need to play this classic (Diablo 2 as well) they are one of those games you will regret for never playing. So addictive, and far too ahead of their times (especially Diablo 2). Hopefully we will get Diablo 4 in the future that is more like first 2 games in this series. Oh sweet childhood memories, the most precious ones -- utterly worth 9e!
