I recently tried the original, which is a fun game overall, but the controls are very nerve-wrecking, making Croc feel unwieldy at best. In the remaster, the controls are butter-smooth, and with updated graphics that doesn't overdo it. Some minigames even became fun, as opposed to anxiety-inducing due to the lack of control over Croc. The loading-screens are completely non-existent and the transitions between retro and remastered graphics is seamless. I highly recommend anyone deterred by the original game's controls to give this game a try - and fingers crossed for a remaster of Croc 2!
