Purchased on an incredible sale, had always wanted to play Prey, but just getting around to it. Even when it first released I had avoided watching any content about the game. Now this is an excellent game! Reminds me of the older Resident evil titles without the limited movement and camera angles. The first hour or so felt bland and boring as I was judging it every step I took. Then the game REALLY opened up. Enjoying this title very much and it is completely "open world" with minimal downtime, and a surprising amount of brain usage with lore information and puzzles. There are actually quite a few decisions that you run into that will alter your gameplay significantly. Feels like I've only just started. The new game plus option makes me feel relieved, knowing that what I have learned can be used again. 8.7/10 Pros: Intuitive Runs amazing max settings The absolute best and seamless terminal/computer utilization that I personally have ever seen in a video game, If only it were in every game this way. Excellent controls Cons: Audio could be a bit improved based on direction and distance of characters/elements Not enough information on upgrade systems Storyline could use a bit more pressure on main character, feels soft and passive from antagonists
Nostalgic, actually good quality questing. Four stars instead of five because your squad is not the most intelligent and gets to be a bit annoying unless you micromanage. A new version of this game in an open world setting would be excellent! It plays well in 4k, no lag, surprisingly good after all these years.
