Classic RPG with all its beauty/horrors

All in all. Games worth the money, especially if on sale, lack of hand holding and wiki, etc makes this fun to figure out. Putting plenty of hours into it and well worth the time. only in act one, but heres what ive found... Pros: -classic style look (reminiscent of diablo one art and ambiance) -good plot with a decent story so far. -interesting blend of fantasy and religion (not necessarily biblical, but christian themes with trolls, ogres, and other monsters that are very fantasy outside of undead and demons.) -LOTS of dialogue (text based) and this is a big one for me as i miss reading these old RPGs and there is a LOT to read, item descriptions, talking to people, etc. -no hand holding, definitely a figure it out kind of game, read carefully, use N for notes and Q for quests and make sure you pay attention. -solid amount of inventory space, with no town portal im glad i can loot goblin as much as i can and not have to constantly walk back to town. Cons: -mouse frequently bugs out for some reason causing inversion(mouse registers moving in opposite direction), many times mid fight, all ive found for a remedy is it requires reloading/dying to fix this. -as most of the game is click to move/attack/cast/talk/loot you click on companions a LOT and it is EXTREMELY frustrating not being able to just hit escape, and having to click a few dialogue options to close out of that pop up. -unplayable bug, not sure how else to describe it but literally have to close game and restart, because inventory items all turn into red square, map is unable to be opened, and cannot click any menu options e.x. load, exit, etc. only remedy is force close. -crashes, sometimes multiple times in an hour, sometimes five hours straight and no crash. -some mechanics poorly/not explained, causes issues. -considering shop reset/how easy it is to get blue/green items from them, there is a huge lack of picking up magical items. sell trash for money, buy magic stuff.

Iron Harvest

We got some issues here...

a lot of cons are kind of minor, but i cannot in good conscience start this with pros, as i normally would, as the game definitely needs much more work. from other reviews dont have a ton of optimism for this game to really come to par. some good pros though. Cons: -no tips or direction how to build base structures first time im able? -cover system is janky, especially with army size of troops. -graphics arent the strong suit for an RTS or iron harvest, so close in cut scenes dont make a ton of sense. -seems pretty mild for diversity of firepower in single factions, even with mechs, kind of the same general 3 units. -voice acting is not a strong suit. -menus like hitting esc are wicked laggy. -the post great war timeline is getting played out a bit too much. -not very complex. The worst drawback: -Online is a must, even in campaign (why? lol?) so thats kind of insane, also if for whatever reason your net is still up but game loses connection, better hope you save often, as if you even LOSE connection for WHATEVER reason in campaign, its full crash back to menu, cannot continue. you will lose a substantial amount of game progress by this. how this game is where it is with such a huge problem, i dont understand. Pros: -Nice concept of game for RTS with the steam punkish post great war mechs. -overall visuals are good -overall audio is good -both solo and multiplayer -not very complicated Conclusion: i highly suggest getting on sale or the extra discount code, full price while not completely unwarranted for what you get isnt exactly most bang for your buck. its a fun RTS game with some good concepts and can certainly be fun to play, but some aspects feel unfulfilled or generic. i am not up to date on the game and its promises or updates, but if the team can really fix some of the major issues, i can see this being well worth it. until then id suggest buy at your discretion.
