TLDR: 2/5 CP 2077 was slated to be one of the best games of 2020. Instead it ended up being one of the worst. Ignoring all of the hype though, and press, beating the game once, with an in game time of over 100 Hours, I feel as though I have experienced the game for what it is: a beautiful, entertaining disappointment. The good: + A beautiful, fairly vast open world. + An entertaining main story. + Some entertaining, meaningful side quests. + Great graphics, facial animations + Good character customization. + Believable and likeable characters. + Amazing art design. + Some genuinely good writing, and emotional moments. + Fairly good music, there are some banger tunes in the game. (Pretty much all of SAMURAI's tracks by Refused.) + Decent FPS combat, and accompanying mechanics (ads lean, sliding, slo-mo, etc) + Multiple Endings. ( 5 in total.) The bad: - A copious amount of bugs. The worst amount of bugs I have ever seen in a AAA marketed videogame, ever. - Extremely flawed RPG mechanics and gameplay systems (Bad/useless perks, useless upgrade system, fairly weak crafting system ) -Unbalanced combat system ( Can easily spam healing and grenades ) -Poor story pacing ( You go from nobody, to big time merc stealing the key to immortality, within a single montage. ) -Incomplete character arcs -Lack of meaningful side content. -Awful stealth. -Crouch/Stand button also skips dialouge. -Only pistols and revolvers are stealth viable. -No car customization. -Lack of gun customization ( No extended clips, no grips, lazer sights, skins, etc.) - Insane amount of RNG to get the absolute best build possible without modding. Conclusion: The game is entertaining enough, and solid at it's bug filled core, but I couldn't recommend game this to most, less an RPG fan or a GTA fan.
