The base game is amazing, the DLC added even more to make it glorious. Be warned, when you enter Dog Town, you may notice a dip in frames per second, Dog Town and everything within is more graphically demanding than the base game, enough so that I have to use DLSS Quality or FSR Quality in Dog Town to keep FPS up near what I can get in the base game on a RTX 2080 Super running 2560x1440 resolution and high settings. If you already have a way more powerful machine, you have nothing to worry about.
When this game released, I had full intention on paying full price to play as soon as I had the spare cash. Just so happens, picked it up the first time it went on sale here on GoG. It was a bit clunky, I had a few bugs (mostly my fault for not updating graphics driver first) that were annoying, but not game breaking. Updates did slowly make things better, then Phantom Liberty and patch 2.0 released. I was gifted Phantom Libterty as a prelaunch. The game, even without Phantom Liberty, is now everything I had hoped for. The game play now matches the stunning story. I have 133 hours in just my current character. I take breaks to play other games, but I keep coming back to this game, and I have not even modded it yet. Absolutely worth the 5 stars I gave it at release, and now worth even more.
