HENPRI: HENTAI PRISON

Decent

The story is well written, and the characters seem to have a lot of life with how well put together they move around on screen... that is, when the game works. This most recent update, 1.0.2, broke my game. The developers/ GoG don't have an option to rollback the game to 1.0.1, so the majority of the models have lost their bodies and are now just floating eyes in a void. It seems it was the dlc that didn't get updated correctly, since it went from being around 5gb to only being around 127 MB. Hopefully this issue gets fixed soon, but it's still odd that GoG doesn't let you revert to the last version. all that shows up when attempting a revert is the current 1.0.2. I was middle of the 2nd route when the update "ended" the run, and I will likely return the game and buy it on Steam, if the a new update doesn't resolve the issue in the next week or so.

VenusBlood HOLLOW Unrated patch

FYI

Just a heads up, if the patch gives you an error you may be able to fix it by manually installing the vcredist_x86 file found in the main game file. It will be in japanese... This fixed my issue.

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

Stressful at times, but fun

I've had this game on steam for some time now. When I first bought it, I no life played it just to see the ending only to find myself constantly running out of money and making stupid mistakes ( which had me grinding back to where I was with a fresh game...) This game lets you play as the merchant who outfits adventurers; it's all about making money to pay for your stupid dad's quest to be a hero. That said, you can play the game a number of different ways. You could be a market flipper, you could be a sponsor to an adventurer (who you control), you can craft items to sell, or you could just pray to the rng gods that the old man and the woman will actually buy stuff and not haggle you till nightfall. Speaking of nightfall, this game has a day and night cycle that determines what you can do each day with random events that can drastically change how you play the game (some items will be more common or rarer from day to day or you will find special adventurers who you will need to unlock via story.) This game has plenty of replay value and a pretty solid economy system. By far, this is one of the best shop "tycoon" games out there. (On the subject of economy, you level up the economy of your shoppers by giving them deals on cheap items early on. There are plenty of guides about this leveling system.) The end game to this game is decent as well, but can be hard to get to on your first run do to simple early game mistakes screwing you over.
