Long Live the Queen

It's not about winning or losing!

Long Live the Queen is a game about making decisions. You select what stats to boost each week of the life of the young princess Elodie after the plot starts. These stats influence how well she fares in different situations, and the choices offered to you. Example: you decided to boost your intrigue stats. Thus, when that nobleman comes to talk to you, you know that there's something fishy going on. So the game will offer choices based on this. Interrogate him? Imprison him? Execute him? It's up to you. These choices will define what happens next. There is no random element. And this is why it's so interesting. The plot is set in a medieval fantastic world with an impressively complex political setup. You may find yourself taking notes about the characters, their position, and even their history or attitude. You'll find that everything makes sense. Even if your goal is to keep Elodie alive until her coronation, it's really about making stories and enjoying them. Even ending up with a death is not a failure, because you just made another story, and probably enjoyed it. Plus, there's a nice death collection menu. Did you ever die by drowning? By monsters? Poisoned? I enjoy playing it from time to time because it's always so different. Even my last game was full of surprises and plot revelations. And I played more than 50 games. It's really not about winning or losing the game. It's all about the stories you make.
