Control Ultimate Edition

Great game, awsome atmosphere.

Control knows very well how to put togerther combat, sci-fi and paranormal/paranatural, and mistery elements in a well paced manner. Although the gameplay and fighting is still repetitive as in Alan Wake (which you should play first, even though it´s not a requirement). The above elements make for a great progression to keep you engaged and in constant tension throghout the game. Also great if you like conspiracy/unknown misteries/world secrets stuff.

Beyond Good & Evil™

Great game

Plays as a console game, like auto locking and such but oter than that is a good game. Cool characters, Cool world, I´d wish we could get a bigger game as a sequel.... oh wait.

Redline

So close to being a gem.. yet so far

This game has many great things: Good destruction, decent vehicular combat, decent shooting, great atmosphere, good plot, good and varied mission ideas for a shooter/ vehicular combat game. It's pure chaos. It's very close to being an actual gem of a game. Then why is this not the case? 1.- The game fails to communicate the player what he has to do. You are required to open small hard to see switches, blow up a certain object, go to a certain place, using certain weapons to destroy something, and it just won't tell you that you are supposed to do that. 2.- Infinite enemies. While you are looking for that hidden switch somewhere the enemies will keep coming. Your health, ammo and vehicle durability's are limited so you will often get frustrated after you were killed many times trying to figure something out and you discover you had to do X in order to keep making progress.

MegaRace 1+2

Good concept, poor execution.

The game has good art, a great concept, great atmosphere but also has really bad design choices. Both games have poor handling and narrow tracks which is not good for a car based game, thus making them artificially hard. Cutscenes are really good but they are really poorly implemented on the first game. They are interesting and unique games and that alone is worth it, just be advised that they are'nt as enjoyable as they could have been.

Speed Busters: American Highways

Interesting game

This game has good visuals for its time and a really cool atmosphere into it. What makes this game special is that the tracks change as the race goes on which not many racing games have. Tha being said, the physics are terrible and the handling is extremely frustrating to the point it becomes a spinnin simulator. If you are nostalgic about it or you like old racing games as me you could give it a try. If you think about finishing the game I would think twice.

FlatOut 2

Good arcade racing game.

Really fun racing game, great if you like crashing your rival's car and speeding with your nitro. Besides racing you can do the classic flatout minigames launching your driver through the air; derby matches and so on. The destruction feels much better than the previous game and is really fun and satisfying. . The game has three car classes, derby, racing and street cars (non licensed) and some secret ones. my main criticism is that the game does turn repetitive torwards the end because many cars feel the same and even if there are different categories you end up driving the same tracks very often. That being said I still think it's a good game if you like arcade racing.

TrickStyle

Unique Stunt racing game

This is a very interesting game for its time period and something not really seen very often. You will compete with a diverse crew of racers in futuristic settings using hoverboards and doing tricks. Bad news is the game is not as good of a racing game and not as good as a stunt game either. The races feel too random for being a racing game and the tricks performed don't really matter while in race, meanwhile you have little chances of performing tricks because the majority of them are wonky and you will crashh most of the time. The game has a lot of repetition which is understandable but feels more like a geometry dash learn the level kind of thing. However the tracks are quite good and interesting. If the handling was better this would have been a 5 star game. As far as the port, it's great and ran with no issues.

Interstate ’76® The Arsenal

Gem shadowed by a bad port

The game is great as it is, fun story, great combat and mission variety, over the to shootings. However the game as it is in this version is actually impossible to finish as the physics don´t support 60 fps. If you still buy the game you can try different methods for adjusting the in game fps to 25 so you can actually finish it as it was meant to. For me, sadly no method worked and the ones who did crashed my game everytime I restarted a mission, so it gets 2 stars only. If that minor detail was patched (doubt it) I would gladly give it 5 stars because it is a great and unique game

Total Overdose: A Gunslinger's Tale in Mexico

Great

The game is fun and ran well for me. Not too much to explain, a cartoonish third person shooter with a focus on stunt shooting mechanics, the story might not be oscar deserving but it´s good for the kind of game it is, good characters, fun jokes. On the negatives, they way they optimized the game in older systems was by butchering the world with load screens. This can work in games like gta where they split the playground in big areas; but for this game you will have too many of them. It´s specially bad because this world has many streets that lead to nowhere, you have to cross to different areas between missions (some of them with timer) and generally it is not satisfying to explore. I think having a minimap would have gratly improved the eperience, as there are not as many cool places to explore. Sure there are some power-ups, stunts and points but nothing groundbreaking, however I think it´s still a fun game and it´s worth to play it

Sanitarium

Really awsome, could have been a Gem

The game has a great plot, an excellent atmosphere, good characters, interesting mistery and it genuenly feels scary and chilling sometimes. Its´s a great game and definitely worth a try, but it could have been better. Really my only problem is that some puzzles when out of hand, some are definitely fun and have logic behind, however many are really not as clever or intuitive. This is the kind of game that if you didn´t have access to a guide or internet on it´s time really you could spend the whole year clicking stuff until it worked. (For instance the shovel on chapter 2 and many of the locks). I understand this is an old game and many were like that in that era, but the sense of achievment is somewhat lost when you have to search for a walkthrough
