It's hidden in the annals of Sierra's library of games. But it was simply one of the best, if not THE best. It has a great version of the Robin Hood story, the atmosphere and storytelling perfect. Maid Marian never seemed so deep outside of a novel, some of the scenes in the forest still seem magical. It's one of the few games from back-in-the-day I can still fully play through and enjoy immensely. Christy Marx is a very talented programmer, and still deserves the support for her game (it was free on her site for a long time, but I owned the original back in the day). But now you have GOG support for a couple bucks and helps her out. I'll buy it again anyway.
Simply the best game I've played to date. I loved the Witcher 1, and it had it's flaws but it was still 9/10 for me. Considering that was CD Projekt's first effort - well, it was amazing. The graphics engine is amazing and I can run everything on max on GTX 570 with no issues...and it's absolutely beautiful! But the gameplay is again brought up to whole 'nother standard, with challenging combat that really makes you think about strategy and is reminiscent of Gothic 2 or Demon's Souls. The soundtrack is also superb, voice acting continues the great set of voices from the first Witcher (in English, anyway). From the intense Prologue to the minigames, everything has been improved, polished. CD Projekt, keep up the outstanding work and I will continue to buy your games only through gog.com, for your full monetary benefit and to support DRM-free releases! I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Thank you!
