Jill Valentine's face morphing into grotesque, demonic creatures is the true survival horror experience of this release. I've read this was an issue in the original PC release. How was this not addressed? RE1 and 2 releases have controller remapping options. I can play those with my GameCube USB controller, which is my preferred way to play. This game no matter what controller I use, the default control mapping is abysmal. I never fully finished this game and was looking forward to doing so. Unless there is a patch that fixes major issues, emulation is seemingly the best route. Which is a shame.
Arguably the best RE game and one of my all time favorites. Runs and plays flawless. A pleasure to return to the RPD!
