DA:O and Kotor are some of my favorite games ever. And the combat is very much like those games. I really wish that style of rpg would come back around. Plus this was clearly made in the era where fantasy games had the gritty, very dark kinda writing. Everything that comes out now just is...so high fantasy that its almost cartoon like. Like a bunch of kids and pre adults are playing them and its lost the...realism isnt the right word. But the reason I fell in love with fantasy games. Its dark, the characters ARE Orcs and Goblins in a Human world or at least city. It shows the grit and grime of what itd really be like. The writing is good and the characters feel like they are from a darker time or enviorment of Orcs and all non human creatures. While it doesnt have the depth and polish of the games ive mentioned, Im definitely enjoying it. And would recommend to anyone that like said games and miss the time when Fantasy and Rpgs werent typical the hero goes in and saves the day, falls in love and everything is bright and colorful all the time. Really wish the edge would come back to games and the writing of the 90s-2010s would come back. I wanna fell the horrow of fighting through waves of darkspawn while finding journals of the dwarven caravan that was captured, describing what the darkspawn did to them and how they started to change one of them..and then you walk into this disgusting huge monster basically breeding them and you find after a good boss battle that it was one of the dwarves in the caravan changed over 7 days and turned into that. Ive not felt the horror and disgust, nor the anger and sadness that comes with realization of brutalness done to them and that dwarf. ahhhhh good times. any ways pick this up if your bored. I got it for 1.62 on sale and def worth my dollar. hell id of paid 10 and been perfectly happy
