To start off, I played Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 when they were new. Ever since, I make a point every few years to play through DK2 again, look into what type of new custom content is out there, etc. After that replay of DK2 someone let me know I had overlooked this game, "War for the Overworld". The game is very similar to DK2, with lots of additions. Some of which I didn't find too useful as after a while the game just ends up so, "Busy" as one progresses. What really bothered me about this game is that the walls of your dungeon do not seem to matter to the function of the rooms at all. In DK2, sure, for lairs, hatcheries, walls didn't matter much, but for other rooms they did matter, for how many spaces you could have for training creatures, how many bookcases,, how many devices for torturing enemy creatures, and so on. In this game, for a lot of it I could just tear out large chunks of earth and maximize my space, and nearly the only function I had for the earth was to determine where I wanted invaders to funnel through. The game is alright, and to be fair I haven't played the other expansions yet, but for the core game, I just ended up getting bored once I realized walls didn't matter much to the rooms.
