Cyberpunk 2077 is a good game that's worth playing, however it is not the game we waited so many years for. The detailed and pretty-looking city is a backdrop to the linear scripted stories which, granted, aren't so bad on their own. The stories can be very dark and realistic, which makes the lighter-hearted stories all the more fun. Because the story is willing to “go all the way” the stakes feel much higher and it keeps you on your toes. Unfortunately, interesting stories and pretty graphics are the only highlight as there isn’t much to say about the gameplay. Originally advertised as an immersive open-world RPG; the game lacks significant interaction with the environment, lacks any reason to explore the open world, and even lacks some very basic RPG elements. It's immensely disappointing, but things are not all doom-and-gloom as some of the memes on social media have depicted it. I got the game on day one and it was very much playable and enjoyable on PC. Patches and updates are sure to improve things as time goes on. It’s worth getting to experience the story, I just wish there was more interaction with the world and better gameplay mechanics here.
