Sniper: Ghost Warrior

Low Budget Modern Warfare

The game definetly has the 2000's FPS feel, but its quite dated compared to some other titles. I had fun with it, and it can be great at times, however some sections are almost unbarable. The AI at the same time is pretty unaware of their sorroundings, but when they go into combat mode they are accurate to the point its surreal. You could be 500 meters on a cliff and a Colombian militant will manage to kill you with a fully automatic rifle in a few seconds. Meanwhile your accuracy is comically bad, especially for the role youre playing. The muzzle flash is very high as well, guns are practicaly unusable in automatic mode. HOWEVER, All those things aside, its a pretty fun game, and good at what it focuses, that being sniping and sometimes stealth, its solid core mechanics sometimes overshadowed by the poorly balanced game aspects. The story is pretty generic, but i thought its fun since its trying so hard to be Modern Warfare and adopt all modern military tropes it sometimes feels like satire, but there are decent parts as well. When it comes to technical aspects the lack of FOV setting makes a negative impact, and im not sure why (be it resolution or some other issue where modern hardware doesnt do well) the aiming feels very stiff in every non sniper rifle, as like moving a large chunk rather than a smooth transition. IN CONCLUSION, This game does good in the sniper section, decent in ghost, and comically bad in warrior. As of now the game is for people with 2000's FPS nostalgia and those who can overlook things like FOV and overall game being either good or bad at times and rarely in between. If you focus on the sniper and ghost aspects, its fun.
