Being a DIK - Season 2

Successful Sequel

I just posted on the original and came to again post for the second season. Goes much further in depth, opens up new relationship possibilities and really holds you accountable to actions you took in the first game, for better or worse. If you read only the people that have played the game, everyone thinks the story telling, character development, choices, consequences are excellent. I am already waiting for the third season to drop. For the people who want to complain about the game and it being a cash grab, play it first before judging or posting. Not sure why you are so upset over nudity and sex in the game. This isn't some conservative gaming website and there are plenty of games involving extreme violence, drugs, murders etc that have been on gog for years and could be considered just as morally reprehensible. If you don't like it, don't review it. It is as simple as that.

Being a DIK - Season 1

Why all the hate

First off, to anyone actually interested in playing this game, ignore every 1 star rating in here. Not one of those reviews comes from someone who played this game. I am a big fan of choose your adventure type games and compared to a lot of games out there this game is excellent. Is there gratuitous and copious amounts of sex? Yes. So what? There are plenty of games out there without any of that in the games at all and still don't even come close to developing characters and story plots with the effectiveness that this game does. You literally have to sit and debate all your outcomes and what type of person you want to be to try and achieve the best results with each character and potential relationships. It might even remind you of those same types of women/friends you have crossed paths with in your lifetime. Either way there is tons of replayability which is rare in most modern games. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

Wishes it were a Hitman game

I am not sure why everyone is so hyped up about this game. I waited to review this until I completed the game. PROS: There are multiple ways to complete most missions. Each character has unique skills and levels have multiple achievements you can obtain. So there WOULD be replayability to play this game. CONS: However, the game has several problems with it. Line of sight on enemies is broken at time. Enemies who shouldn't be able to see you can and cones can change at times indiscriminately out of established cycles. Also you have two types of civilians, friendly and hostile. You end up killing several of them due to how annoying they are. Terrain can also can draw attention to you even if you weren't trying. Controls can be annoying at times depending on how frequently you are cycling through the characters. Normal level is pretty much expert mode. Not sure why they have a hardcore mode. No need. I know it sounds like I am complaining about the difficulty but keep this in mind. You can get achievements on normal or hardcore mode. After defeating the game GOG awarded me killing the final boss achievement. Only 13.2% of players have obtained this achievement.
