GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

Beautiful and honest card game

I've been playing Gwent forr about 2 years now. The game is by far the most esthetically pleasing out of all card games available. It's economy is fair, especially when compared to the competition (It is CDPR after all, they love us). Gwent has been in development for a while now and in late 2018 they finally went out of beta. The game got a complete overhaul. People don't like change all too much and that might explain why we see a lot of negativity in reviews and on forums. I don't think it's deserved, but I do understand. Gwent has been in the development for a while and at the start of 2018 we got a last big update for the beta version of Gwent. It was the last itteration and Gwent was in a good spot. Now however the team has decided to start from scratch again. So yes the refinment in abilities, balance, archetypes took a big hit. However, this is how I see it: The developers gained a lot of experience and insight since 2015. They saw what restricted them from improving Gwent even further and decided to start fresh. At this point the game is not as fun as the open beta was after the last patch (yet still fun). BUT this a great time to jump in, to get to know the game. As proven with the Gwent beta... When a couple of patches have past, Gwent is going to be in it's best state ever, I'm sure of it. So jump in, get to know the game, build your card collection and know this game is going to turn out great. Have fun!
