Mortal Kombat 1+2+3

SmallReview + Xbox Controller Drift FIX.

Still a nice bash-em-up, spent way, way to many afternoons on this as a teenager at the arcade. Graphics - Then: Great Now: Poor Sound - Then: Great Now: Average Gameplay Difficulty- Then: DarkSouls Now: StarWars Jedi Fallen Order Using a joystick. Hmmph. I have an Xbox controller. I read and tried what others have said about changing joystick settings. Nothing worked, total drift fest. Then I searched Dosbox's own site and found this nugget:cycles. By default your cycles will be set to either auto or max. Both produce drift. You can ignore the joystick settings in the config. Change the cycles and it works. First, find the dosboxMortalKombat.conf in the Mortal Kombat directory. Open it with Notepad. Scroll down or set find to cpu. At the end of the section you'll see: core=auto cputype=auto cycles=auto cycleup=1000 cycledown=1000 Change it. Here's mine: core=auto cputype=auto cycles=fixed 18000 cycleup=1000 cycledown=1000 The lower the cycles figure, the slower the game will run. Obviously you'll need to experiment to find the best for your PC. And..that's it. MK I with working Xbox controller. P.S. My cpu is a Ryzen 5 2400, if that helps. Also, most powers are dabbing the controller toward bottom left or right depending on direction faced, and hitting punch.
