Cyberpunk 2077

This flower has not yet blossomed.

Owning a pretty powerful PC gives you a very good experience with Cyberpunk. I am enjoying it a little more with every play session. It looks great and has amazing character interaction. Combat is basic but passible. Sound and music is spot on and I am getting a good solid frame rate with everything on high . I have to admit to becoming totally immersed in V's story. I can see this game being forgiven for the terrible launch when it finally becomes stable and optimized The one big con besides some bugs is not being able to customize some keys. This has been very inconvenient, and should not happen with a AAA title costing £50. The game loses a star for their laziness in this regard.

Baldur's Gate 3

Brilliant.

This is just what I was hoping for when they got around to making another Baldur's gate. I have played all the old classics many times and BG3 brings the franchise up to date. This feels more like a classic Bioware game than it does a Larian game. I am very excited for the full release.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

Game cheats.

Great concept and would have been very entertaining if the game didn't cheat. You will find often that you kill someone that is no sight cones or sound circles but will have a enemy turn in your direction and spot you. It wouldn't be so bad if this only happened once or twice but it happens all the time. The game does not keep to it's own rules, so your perfect plan fails through no fault of your own and this defeats the whole object of the game making it a frustrating mess when it could have been very enjoyable.

Low Magic Age

Classic gameplay.

This reminds me of the brilliant Phantasie series that I put countless hours into. This has amazing true to life graphics, sound and animation because it plays out in your imagination. These are the games that are 100% addictive and 200% immersive. Simply put, it's game-play at it's best. For the silly price they are asking for it, why don't you own a copy?

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition

Like BG but better.

There have been many attempts tp capture the magic of Baldur's Gate, but all fell a mile short. That was until now. Pathfinder: Kingmaker captures that BG magic in spades and takes it another 5 yards. You can tell in your first hour of play that the developers have put their heart and soul into this game. It's just wonderful.

Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest

Frustrating.

I believe a game should be fun. Druidstone isn't fun in the least. It's darn frustrating and has me wanting to break something. Awful game but great for putting you in a bad mood. Who ever thought a piece of software such as this, could ever be fun? It got 2 stars for the graphics. The graphics are nice.

BATTLETECH - Mercenary Collection

Very broken.

This could have been a excellent game, but as it stands it's pretty rubbish. There are for so many broken missions. Mainly convoy missions, so avoid when possible. The skull differculty macanic is broken and means nothing. A one skull can be a lot harder than a four skull. The more you play Battlemech the more you realise there is something not right with this game. It feels really off. Very long loading times so get yourself a SSD. My advice would be not to pay full price for this, it's not worth it, pick up in a sale for no more then £5

No Man's Sky

Terrible.

MNS beyond is terrible. I play on a high end computer and the game is very badly optimized. You have pop-in all of the time, along with the occasional lag. The new vulkan graphics are horrible and not a patch on the old OpenGL. I have no idea why they have changed the graphics. Over the years this game has grown into a giant mess, bugs from day one are still present, quest still broken, input is awful and has obviously been ported over from consoles. Speaking of input, did you know the update has launched without the ability to bind your keys? The VR isn't bad but still far from good and not worth spending money on. In short the game is a massive disappointment, the screen shots and trailers tell another story, don't be deceived by them. If you come across it in a sale for £4.99 or less, it might be worth it as you might get a hour or two out of it before you give up. On the other hand you might be one of the few that enjoy the game for whatever reason, but in my opinion they blew it.

Master of Orion

What I have been looking for.

I have been after a good space 4x for sometime. I have tried several but found they got bogged down in micro management along with dull middle to end game-play. I like this new Master of Orion because it's more streamlined, easy to manage and has some very nice graphics and voice overs. You spend your time playing the game as apposed to slogging away child minding planets. Out of all the space 4x games I own this is the only one I can relax with and enjoy my time in it. I nearly missed it with all the poor reviews, good job I tried it for myself.

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition

Junkware.

When first released this was a really fun game, but later the dev's went on a silly campaign to make the game challenging. This resulted in transforming DL into one of the most frustrating games on sale to date. No mater how well you are doing in the game, it all feels pointless as the game spawns mobs freely out of thin air. You are actually more powerful at the start of the game because as you progress your weapons do less damage even when upgraded to the best for your level and your character becomes more of a wimp with every day that passes in the game. They even removed easy mode which is a kick in the teeth for casual players. My advise is not to bother with this rubbish unless is on a 99% off sale.
