A touching slice-of-life story

A short, heart-felt slice of life game about being forced to say goodbye to one part of your life and trying to move on. Think Kentucky Route Zero with maybe slightly more realism than magic. The game uses its limited locations (the rooms and garden of an apartment turned into stage sets) in interesting ways, including a stunning game-within-a-game sequence. While there's no voice acting, the quality of the writing more than makes up for that, both for the descriptions of everything in the apartment and the dialogues (also great audio descriptions!). The game tackles some heavy issues and ideas like gentrification, anxiety, sexuality,... but always ties them back in a very grounded way to the characters, which really feel true to life. The only slightly negative point I can think of is that I wish we could spend more time with some of the characters that only appear once in the game, but all in all I thought this was a touching, original game about some very relatable subjects.
