I am running on a high end PC, Windows 11, 5090 GPU but will crash to desktop first mission while running to vault before small bridge, every time. Works when at house, that is it, can't progress further. I wish they would fix the bugs. Maybe runs better on older PC? Buggy running on new spec one.

For some reason the gamma is all wrong. Areas that should be completely dark have an even grey background, blacks are raised. Playing on an OLED display where black should be black, nope it looks like hazy LCD backlight bleed. It ruins the mood of the game, it is like your monitor is set wrong and there is nothing you can do about it, even with in-game gamma setting all of the way down. This bug has been like this since release and they refuse to fix.

No controller support so that it can be played on all of those handheld PC like Ally etc? It is odd because this was an Xbox game, why did they go through the trouble of actually taking out controller support? Makes no sense. If you are a KB/M purist you will be ok.

Great atmosphere and lighting, good sound. BUT controller mapping seems broken. I can't seem to map any buttons as controller option is greyed out. This makes the game currently unplayable with controller. I can't even get out of the first area because the button needed to find passage can't be mapped. Before the KB/M snobs chime in there are now a lot of handheld devices that rely on controllers and don't even have physical keyboards such as ROG Ally, Legion Go, Onexfly F1, Steamdeck ,etc. Also there are many "couch gamers" where keyboards are not practical. Hopefully this will be fixed.

As a person that has played the original a lot this one fails to match in game play. The original awarded for quick action, the faster you hit the fire button the faster you shoot. It gave a good rapid fire feel. This one does not do this. The faster you shoot has no effect. In fact it goes slower. It has autofire and that is the only way to get faster shots but takes control away from the player. Autofire on asteroids? Just no. It just feels soft, slow. The sound just has this looping background music. The actual sounds of the exploding rocks is just this weak popping sound, it lacks the deep base booms as you split rocks like the original. When the UFOs come out they either make a soft sound or none. Much better on the original. Overall the sound is disappointing. There is no original included. (the "Classic" is not the classic it is the recharged with some elements stripped, it doesn't even play like the original) You would think for this price they could have included the original arcade ROM, for both Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe. You can not remap the controls. So you are stuck with joystick being set to thrust not buttons. You can't change them how you want. Really? Kind of weird controls, You can't use d-pad to navigate menus but you can play with it. You need to switch to analog for menus, then back to pad to play. Just unintuitive UI choice. The background can be distracting. There should be a way to turn off and/or set the brightness of it. The game locked up when trying to set options, had to manually force close. Other times took a lot of fiddling to set things as it sometimes wouldn't respond to controls. This feels like a beta version of a game really.

No controller support makes the game unplayable on the current group of PC handhelds (ROG Ally, GPD Win series, etc). You are stuck playing with a keyboard, and no other option. The game was released on Xbox with controller support so it is possible.
