I recall Wing Commander, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Star Lancer and other space mission sims of days past... Everspace franchise, has brought back these fond memories and worked on a full narrative and mission campaign with Everspace 2. The only down side of the game is of course the lack of multi-player support. Not being able to fly a sortie with my friends... but as a single player game? It's a must have for anyone who enjoys space combat simulators!
I'll go the other way around... I am enjoying this title very much (despite some bugs) and unless I get really upset, I'm sticking with 5 Stars. If you like Pathfinder or any D20 with 3.5 D&D rules and it's likes, you'll like this game. I've played through the first two table-top adventures this title is based upon and this game manages to provide a great narrative that works great with the actual adventure path series. The rules implementation resembles IWD 2, which mixed 2nd & 3rd editions, but this title makes the actual transition to what Paizo made out of D&D 3.5. The added classes and the amount of variety available to the player is awesome and the interface is easy to learn and master. Yes, there are still bugs Oct 2nd. 2018, but the development team is quick to post updates and listen to QoL requests from the thriving players community. Lots of monsters, NPCs, side quests and more to fill at least 40-50 hours and on top of that, consider replaying the game selecting a different alignment and attitude :)
