Warhammer it's a franchise that i started to try very recently, this being my second game. My only experiences with this genre were "Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos" and "Age of Empires 3", been the first one the only one that it's fair to compare, having only two years of margin between launches. And the difference it's not that big in amount but greater in other aspects, like for example variety. I don't remember pretty much about Warcraft 3, but i remember that all the races played pretty much the same, with really tiny differences between each other. Dawn of War it's the opposite, the key mechaniscs are similar, but the they recieve some key differences that makes them unique to play. You have the Orks that play with numbers, the Marines been more versatile, or the Eldar been capable of creating portals to move easily on the battlefield, and it's so important that even the DLCs make the efford of giving differenciation to the new factions. This makes the matches more interesting, because you have to play differently with each one, both for the good and for the bad. Another of the things that i like, it's kind of a small thing, but the fact that your troops are composed of squads instead of just one guy like in Warcraft 3 it's kinda neat, it's very satisfying to look are your army. My only problem with this game it's the fact that you only play with one faction on the campaign, but that luckily got kinda fixed in the DLCs. Great game, i completely recomend it.
Doom does not need presentation, it's was the father of all modern shooters... and a real pain for the parents associations. After Doom 3, the franchise loose a lot of popularity, but in the 2016 they published this marvel that put Doom back at the podium. And how couldn't like it? It has everything you can ask for on a Doom game, blood, metal, an unholy amount of demons to kill... One of the best choices they could make was forget all the things that they did on Doom 3, now the horror it's focused on the ambience and scenery, and the gameplay it's now faster and more chaotic. This could sound bad at first, but the game makes sure you learn how to face everything they throw at you with a great difficulty curve, by the last chapters of the games the battles are really satisfying to play. To resume, play it, you surely will enjoy it.
Nice story, epic gameplay. My maximum experience with parkour in gaming was Assassin's Creed, and what a difference! At first I thought this could be a trouble, after all it's a traverse focus gameplay, all the attention it's on moving across the map, but surprisingly, it's wasn't that hard (A side from certain moments), and, once you learn, it's really satisfying. There are also persecution sections where you run from the cops, this ones are really cool since you have to parkour fast to escape, add the great soundtrack and you have a really intence experience. I don't have much experience with parkour on gaming, but for now this one it's the best one i played so far, i highly recommend it.
