A true prequel to Deus Ex, they understood what made the original great and built on it, tweaking it to their own vision. Absolutely part of my top favourites, have gone back to replay it several times now. Very easy to get going, works out the box on 4k but the ui doesn't scale, might need the DXHR Exe Patcher mod to get it looking the same again.
The commentaries and intrigue of the original Deus Ex aren't really there anymore, dialogue's a bit bland, but the gameplay's still quite fun. Very much my least favourite Deus Ex title, but worth a playthrough with the Visible Upgrade mod to get it running on modern systems properly. Plays like a dream afterwards.
An absolute classic, have played it yearly since I was a teenager. Would recommend using the updated Kentie launcher, OpenGL 2.0 and New Vision to update the experience some at the very least as the base game runs rough on modern systems.
