I'm not really a major fan of most crafting/survival games anyway but I'm just struggling to understand the gameplay loop. There doesn't seem to be much point to any of the exploration and crafting other than to get to the next place. Maybe it all becomes clear after fifty hours but I'm a dozen hours in and I'm really not sure what the point is. There isn't that much depth to anything, the combat is relatively repetitive, and interactions are very basic. On the plus side it is cool to fly around and stuff but a lot of the action is grindy and repetitive, and I think the UI needs some work because you are constantly flicking between menus and inventory screens and it's a little tricky keeping everything in order.
I really like the idea of this game, and setting is appealing. The humour seems on point and the visuals are entirely unique. However the presentation is an eyesore and I felt myself growing nauseous after only a few hours, if even that. It's not a graphical issue, it's the aesthetic of the game so there's no cure for it. I wanted to give this game a real go, but the fact that you have to manipulate the agents through the little monitors is terribly frustrating. I think this game is going for PS1 era visuals and is entirely successful in that, but it's for that reason that I could not continue. The combination of colour palette, textures and the small FOV made this largely unplayable. Unfortunate.
