I've downloaded a lot of the mods (Community Patch, Quest Pack, Content Mod, Update Pack, and some other minor mods) but the game is still barely playable - and that only if you're determined enough. What I got within ~2 hours of playtime: -Combat is absolutely awful, with basically two buttons (attack and block), and somehow manages to be even more janky, unresponsive, and frustrating than G1 and G2 - even with combat mods supposedly making it better. I'm not exaggerating, It's the worst combat gameplay I've ever seen across multiple genres. It genuinely feels like it was pieced together literally a day before the release. Sadly, that's one thing mods can't fix. -Mediocre voice acting (especially on non-main characters), forgettable music, and subpar voice feedback from the world (combat, animals, actions, etc). -World doesn't feel alive since it barely changes, characters often don't react to things happening around them and it's too big for its own good, meaning it's often pretty barren anyway. -Story itself isn't particularly original, the "big bad guy" Xardas is revealed almost instantly and human race is "in grave danger" from the get go. -Quest Journal is basically a copypasta of dialogues you've already seen and that's it, incredibly lazy. -Teleport Runes literally within the first minutes of the game. Pick literally any other game out there, this one is not worth it even with tons of mods. I don't see any reason to ever play this "game" if G1 and G2 exist.

Game has a tons of flaws and sadly, there's more of negative aspects of the game than positive ones. Overall it's a poor experience and I don't recommend playing this game. Pros: -Interesting vision of the races with diverse play styles. -Mix of an RPG and RTS, with gameplay switching between these two and combining them. -Colorful graphics. Cons: -Extremely cheesy story with "doom and gloom +chosen one" right off the bat, characters are shallow and throwing one-liners constantly. It's like a work of a teenager. -Hideous UI that doesn't tell you anything: life or mana, what companion's abilities do (you don't know what their abilities do unless you have it yourself), stat numbers, buffs/debuffs and so on. Very little is known to the player. -RTS aspect has no proper control of your units with only 2 commands: move and attack (not even on the ground, just that specific unit). It makes managing your units just tiresome and not really enjoyable, transforming everything into a meat-grinder. On top of that, destroying a building is suffering. -Can be unbalanced at times, like 5+ sorceres one shoting your hero the moment they see you and there's literally nothing you can do about it or 40+ frost archers perma stunlocking a boss. -Map can be huge, even with portal stones traversing it takes extremely long time. -Death instantly kills half of your army for some reason, even if the other half can finish off the enemy. Combined with a fact that heroes can get one shot within 1 second it can be frustrating at times. -Moving between maps clears all your units, if you did so before finishing the objective (and game autosaves for you after switching) - tough luck pal.
