The Witcher 3 is a monumental achievement in the open world ARPG genre, it combines superb immersion, lore, story and design into one fantastic gaming package. One would have to be truly ignorant not to see its strengths and appreciate every minute of it, if this genre however doesn't interest you then I implore you to give it a go, you will be amazed at just how much content is on offer here. CDPROJECT RED has put every other developer to shame, and set a new bar for open world ARPGS, no doubt about it.
Hearts of Stone is a superb addition to the Witcher 3, adding both old and new characters, expanding on the lore, and delivering some of most fun quests in the entire series. The value proposition is insane here, if you own and enjoy the Witcher 3 (who wouldn't!) grab this, now!
Not much more can be said about the Witcher 3 that hasn't already been said, it's one of the best open world ARPGs of all time, and with a memorable story to boot! Blood and Wine introduces all the right new elements into the formula and extends your journey as the White Wolf. For the asking price it's easily a 20-30 hours experience, so the value proposition is already in line with that of the base game and Hearts of Stone. Overall this a fantastic closing peace on Geralts adventures.
Need I say more, this is the worst version of the game, GOG needs to get their act together and make the Windows release available. In DOSbox the game runs poorly and is overall a bad experience. The game however is a classic 5/5 stars, but the GOG version deserves only 1/5 stars.
Blood is really a gem from the past, it has a great dark and moody atmosphere, good visuals and gore in ultra levels. When most FPS these days try to be too serious Blood is great fun and that is really what it is all about.
