Quake is an absolutly amazing first person shooter. No more needs to be said. This classic video game was released in 1996, yet it's still aged like fine wine. Quake is revolutionary in the genre, outstanding in it's gameplay, and with breathtakingly beautiful atmosphere. I couldn't reccomend this masterpiece of a game more to fans of the fps genre and video game enthusiasts. If I could make one gripe about Quake, it would be that it's software hasn't aged very well since 1996. Obviously, software from 1996 isn't the easiest thing to run in the 21st century, and when doing so, it can cause problems ranging from big to small. As long as you're OK with going out of your way to enhance this ancient art piece, this game will be an amazing experience. Though, a new revitalized version of Quake will be available shortly on Gog.com, coming as a free update to the game, and it should iron out the wrinkles of this fantastic piece of gaming history. 4/5 stars, would 100% recommend.
