Ironhide Games studios have been a classic of mobile gaming over the years, making some of the best tower defense games I've played on a phone or PC. Iron Marines is them dipping their toe into a sort of RTS genre. The port is clean and works fine, personally I prefer it to mobile as the precision of mouse movement surpasses the finger on the touch screen in every way. I only wish GoG had the sequel in their store, alas, I'll have to go to steam.
I'd played this game quite a bit since it was released on steam. I am, in fact, one of the backers. Frankly, this is a game in beta that needs to work on its balance elements. The nonsense around strixes turns an otherwise enjoyable game into a tedious slog that is neither fun nor enjoyable, in short, it's all a lot of tedious bs. Hopefully they fix it, frankly, I'll not recommend it as long as they focus on a mechanic that's included less for 'fun' and more for 'frustration', as many survival mechanics are when it comes to non-survival games.
