A platform RPG with a linear storyline, where progression is provided by routinely acquired items or skills, and a few additional search-and-destroy missions. Don't get me wrong, this formula works. The game is truly great, despite its few flaws. And even though I'm not a fan of platformers, I enjoyed playing it.
Take down tons of enemies without dying yourself. The game features sugary graphics and a little touch of NSFW. I had fun blasting through hordes of enemies, but the game balance could use some improvement. While I enjoy this type of gameplay and enjoy taking down countless monsters... the reward for such a difficult feat is nothing exciting.
For me, the game was difficult, but oh so awesome. The combat mechanics are truly unforgiving, but once you get the hang of it, the game is brilliant. It has so many little touches and details that seem insignificant but later become important. And seriously, don't sell anything you don't have in abundance. If you enjoy challenges and pixel art, this game is perfect for you.
A game with a beautiful, narrated story. It features a diverse cast of characters with diverse fighting styles and several interesting mechanics that will keep you entertained for hours. The ability to play with two players may not be the greatest multiplayer experience, but in this game, less is more.
