There were bugs at first, but even then you could see the amazing game it was. Now, with the bugs fixed, it has started to really shine. The first DLC introduced a compelling story, and the update on the way of doing things is really interesting. Certainly worth playing. Even not on sale, I would say grab it, but if you see it on sale you have to get it.
People might complain that the laundry part, the trash removal part, the gum removal part, and the toilet unclogging part are all boring, but while the laundry part can make it hard to get arcade gaming in (at least if you want an S rank on your laundry cleaning prowess), the others all have mini-games that make them feel like an arcade. Heck, the rank system for the laundry kind of makes it like a "manage your time" game (think games where you have to get such and such to someone in a certain amount of time). Worth it, especially if on sale.
