Dark Rift

Still not working

when i saw this on the store i had to buy it, and didnt even check the reviews or the forum, thinking its on GOG it must work, why wouldnt it? Well, shame on GOG, this game is still in an unplayable state.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition

Disappointing

i dont know when im going to learn, i keep buying these remasters of classic games in hopes that the devs actually care about these games and they actually do their best to upgrade the visuals at least on the textures side, but nope other than a few minor instances(terrain) most of the textures are blurry and low res (units and UI) in the best case and AI garbled mess in the worst case ( some unit portraits). Why even bother if you are going to treat classics like this? I will never understand.

Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition

Incredibly lazy cashgrab

Like the title says, this seems to be an incredibly lazy cashgrag, higher res textures, sure, but other than that there is barely any difference. A visually more pleasing menu ui but functionally inferior, since i now have to scroll through colors in character creation instead of directly selecting the color i want like in the original. Keyboard controls seem worse than in the original since there i could turn the camera while moving with E and Q but here it does not work. And to top it all off there is no offline installer available to download. What the hell is this. How did this game even got to be released on GOG?! I though the whole point of buying games on GOG was that i can back up every game installer. If you have the Complete Edition dont even bother with this one.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker

Incredibly frustrating

As much as i want to like this game, god damn, it sure is doing everything in order for me to hate it. The game has a robust character creation and wide variety of classes to choose from, but the moment you get into the game the enemy just stomps you constantly, while my characters just miss and miss and miss. The dice rolls definitely seems skewed in the favor of the enemy units who have no issues hitting me while i constantly struggle all the time. The amount of 1 rolls i have seen on my side while i never seen it on the enemy side is baffling. My characters cant hit a freaking kobold that is downed by grease for crying out loud. Linzi missing her shots 90% of the time, my wizard the same. Hell, a simple task of picking a freaking flower or walking a fallen down tree trunk damages you if you fail the check. Resting is constatnly interrupted not to mention the traveling. The game could be amazing, but i never felt more frustrated by how incompetent my characters are compared to the enemy. I dont know, maybe the problem is with me, but damn...

Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered

Could be and should be better

As much as i love that this remaster exists, it has issues that should not exist, like not being able to look around with the keyboard. It cant be done, only with the mouse. I dont want to play with the mouse. So because of this the game is almost unplayable. The there is the horrible ai upscale on the SR2 cinematic, it is pretty bad. The new models lost their expressiveness from SR2 as well, facial expressions are not as clear as with the classic look, which is quite a shame. Also not a fan of some of the character design choices made with the new models. I am going to play it more and see what else is there. The extras are highly appreciated though.

Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Its a classic

Fantastic writing, characters, story and world building. Its an absolute recommend for anyone who has the slightest interest in crpg's.

Cyberpunk 2077

Buggy as hell, but still fun

As buggy as the game is,(and it is buggy as hell), i am still having a blast with it, the world it self is way too interesting to me and the gameplay is also pretty good once you start leveling up. It an rpg game through and through, with great writing and characters and quests. A whole lot of funny easter eggs too. The devs clearly cared about this game and i believe they still do so im hoping for further updates and big fixes. I dont regret my purchase for a second, and i would actually recommend it even in this state.
