Yes the creators of this is certainly the same that co created Fallout. But they fall deep on this one. The start is awesome and the story is for sure fine, but where the nuke really hits home is the AWEFULL balancing of this game. Playing a gunslinger is next to impossible and any other combat than fist or hand to hand is a very painful experience since someone got that great idea that you get XP per hit?!?!?. And yes I am old enough to remember the orginial release and frustrations. Do not believe any who gives much praise to this game - it's rushed out the door to save a company that went broke quite fast after the release of the game. Have fun with many other games :)
But now I have tried to email failbetter games both in the mail they specifically have given for claim missing kickstarter keys and their usual email for contect with customer AND even tried to login to their forum. None of this work. So I will ask failbetter to stop failing and contact me so this issue can be resolved.
I was really excited to see what the developers had come up with since Knights of Pen and Paper was a really positive surprise. Unfortunally in my opnion the story is not as good and also mared by a generic mission builder that really does not fit into the core concept of this game. They have added space battle... while on paper it's a good idea the space battles are very basic compaired to the tactical combat on the ground. What I do like about the game is that the classes to a higher extend support each others skills. The fighting is more interesting due to this but it does not save the overall game design. Still I hope that the developers learn a lot from this. It is always difficult to make a follow up to a big success. Keep on hacking devs! :)
