Cyberpunk 2077

An unfinished product but a great one.

I played Cyberpunk 2077 on 1.03 and 1.04 for 108 hours. Let's face it, this game is buggy and unfinished : - The remap mechanics for keyboard is a chore even with the inputUserMappings xml, (many cross mapping for different actions which ruins the game like my use 1 button was also the button for opening shards found across the town). - The NPCs spawning mechanic is wrong : we can see them disappear in sight, or the policemen spawning in your back even when there is no way to get there, or some distant placeholder right in front of you, or distant vehicles on desert road, just like in Pacifica. - The NPCs AI is wrong, Either in combat or for NC residents, many NPCs decisions doesn't look right. Because the game don't track NPC correctly, sometimes, the AI will notice you even when you are hidden for them. - The physics are buggy : you will see, sometimes (not so often but still), cars flying because of wrong spawn rules, and sometimes, you will teleport with no reason. - The open world is under used. You get no reputation with each gang/corporation/NCPD,/MaxTac/Trauma Team. You can't run business and vendors will buy anything (food vendors buying weapons and the contrary). The housing is useless (and bugged because I was not even able to sleep with my mates at their home after a romance). But at last, the game was a blast for me. The story, the lore and the main and secondary characters are all appealing. the plot is well written. the staging and voice acting are extraordinary (motion capture). The graphic design will make every cyberpunk fan feel at ease with the ambiance. I gave 5 stars for one reason : I think that all the mess around this game's release is because it came way too early. People (investors, players) put pressure on CD Projekt and their developpers to get this game done as soon as possible. Those guys deserve to be recognized for what's it's worth. I don't feel betrayed by CD Projekt at all. They just released too soon and they can fix that.
