

Sacred came out over 20 years ago as the 'improvement ' over existing hack and slash games. For what software amd platforms offered, then, Sacred was brilliant. I've been playing this game since it was first made. Today's games are sometimes wonderful, and I play them, but return to Sacred yearly. Sacred is warm, human, entertaining. It has a brilliant sound track, great writing, and a huge open world to explore. You haven't gamed until you hear a goblin in Sacred shout, "Cooks great" or "Dont eat me!" The game is relaxing, but can be very dramatic and exciting. Sacred defines great old game, and it would be a shame if it were forgotten.
