I have been playing P&P RPG games and computer RPG games quite a long time. For me two best games this far were MechForce around 1987 on Amiga and 1998 Baldur's Gate on PC. So year 2018 have been kind for me. We get Battletech (after around 30 year of waiting since MechForce) and now Pathfinder Kingmaker (around 20 year from Baldur's Gate). Game have few small bugs what I have encounter (now played around 50 hour). But nothing big. Developers have actually managed to fix quite a lot of bugs what I have read of, and for me graphic settings keep they settings so I do not have to reset them every time I start the game. Another small problem for me were some pathfinding issues (in one doorway during tutorial mission). I have been playing D&D since early 80's and Pathfinder near 10 year. So if you are familiar for RPG games and have been wanting to play a game where you actually get feeling that you can change and make impact to the game look no further. I have been looking for game where you can not only choose from different aligments but actually play them. Where you honestly have different options based your choices and aligment. If you are bad you can play "smart evil". In many games there is only one path, one way to do things. In this game there are multiple ways specially later. Sure you can try to "use brute force" and kill all what moves. But that is most of the times most hard way to play. It is so great feeling when you realize that you can let's say make your enemies fight each other or make them both part of your kingdom or send them against some third neutral faction and then maybe make alliace with that third faction. I have to say that this game have not only captured orginal Action Path (Kingmaker) but this far (chapters 1 and 2) been even better. I have a feeling that for me this will be game of the year 2018.
