Cyberpunk 2077

Love it, hate it, both is reasonable

Personaly, I choose the former. Honestly, everything to be said has been said already, so I don't really want to repeat the obvious issues. However I do feel, that some critiques are a tad bit undeserved: Everybody is comparing this game to GTA. GTA this, GTA that. Why tho? This is not a GTA, and it isn't supposed to be anything like that. Wow, the police, driving etc isn't as advanced as in a 23 years old franchise? *surprised Pikachu face* If you are triggered by the removed features, you are a naive idiot for falling the marketing, and deserve everything you get. Every early gameplay had the huge 'WORK IN PROGRESS, DOES NOT REPRESENT THE FINAL PRODUCT' caption on them. I was skeptic from the first moment, and I was proven right in the end, but it saved me from the dissapointment. A lot of people are dissapointed with the lifepath system, mostly because the didn't played pen and paper RPGs. Through flavor texts like these gets your character their background stories, and since Cyberpunk originaly is such a RPG, this feature was implemented correctly. If you don't like it, or were expecting else, that's your problem. And some of its merits are often not mentioned: THE LOCALIZATION IS INCREDIBLE. Not just the UI and subtitles are localized, but even the majority if in-game captions, like the news on the TV, or the fast travel terminals. How cool is that? And the sheer number of languages is just wow. Can we talk about the size as well a bit? The whole game is ~70 GB, which nowadays counts as a beefy CoD update. If anything, the assets are very well optimised. Imo the biggest issue is, that the management had no clear picture what kind of game they wanted, and so it's just wants to fall apart. Most of the mechanics are not fleshed out, but surprisingly, I really enjoyed the platforming and shooting. Audiovisoualy, this game is a work of art, but it's interactivty is almost sacraficed for this. Not a timeless classic, but still entertaining, and the goodies OMG
