I'm playing Space Marine in 2024, as I want to know all the backstory of Titus. And the game is awesome! Yes, for 2024 the grapgics are a bit simplistic. And the gameplay is less posighed than Space Marine 2. But it is still a fun game! The characters are memorable. The voices of all named chatracters are disticnct and recognizable. The music is appropriate. The combat is fast and fun, but you still have to think about what you're doing, and keep track of various threats. Most importanty, the game wonderfully illustrates Warhammer 40`000. I recognize the 40k universe in the environments, the action, and the epic stakes. And I love it!
This game captures the aesthetics and the lore of Warhammer 40k universe very well! It's very true to the source material. And the game itself is an isometric RPG with turn-based combat. And it's GOOD: there are colorful characters, memorable locations, intense combat, inetersting dialogue, and a lot of impactful plot decisions. Overall, you feel like you're an aristocrat in space, deciding fates of whole planets. Well done!
