I'm going to be honest. I have a great time with most video games. I'll delve into them and experience all I can with their flaws and all. Then along the way I come across a game like KCD II. After the first hour I realize that I haven't just found a something that's good for passing the time, but something that's truly special. I've been grabbed by the collar into a world of medieval whimsy and grittyness and I hope anyone reading this review can follow behind me.
The game starts in blackness leaving you wondering if you're dead or alive. You gain conciusness not knowing who you are, what you look like, or where you could be. All you see is your trashed room, and the void of the fog of war around it. Now you're thrust into the task of piecing everything back together. Maybe how it was or how you would like it to be. This is what hooked me. You're gonna solve some crazy mysteries, and you're gonna do it with the freedom that a CRPG is perfectly poised to give you.
