I played Capitalism Plus and Capitalism 2 when they first came out. I spent countless hours developing strategies and building businesses. It's rather simplistic in a way (compared to real life), but it provides a great touch-point to all the business basics: supply and demand, price versus quality, brand building and recognition, supply chains, vertical versus horizontal integration, etc. It truly is an amazing work from so long ago. A bit cheesy looking now, the guts of the sim are still grade-A solid. In-game you get a prompt to buy Capitalism Lab which is the upgraded / updated version of this game by the same producers. I looked at it. It's the same game with a graphics refinement and some added features. Additionally, it supports mods and has some DLC. I may upgrade at some point. If you have a strong entrepreneur itch you want to scratch, this would definitely be your cup of tea!
