I'm a long time fan of Heroes of Might and Magic III, which this game bases it's systems on. However, Songs of Conquest improves in every way on the old HoMM3 formula creating a fantastic game with deep systems and compelling story.
Everybody who loves Baldur's Gate or Fallout should really try this game. It has compelling story, complex characters and lots of great side content. The world is D&D with a twist and is really well realized.
