I first played Northland back in '04 or '05. I was instantly hooked, I love it! No other game that I've played quite compares with it. It feels a bit like a blend between the Settlers and the Sims, you'll see what I mean if you play it. The graphics have aged very well. In the Cultures games every character (with the exception of heroes) has the potential to get married and have children, which is the only way to in increase your population. They all level up individually to take on new jobs. I've always been looking for a modern take on this but have never found it.
