

a) Master of Magic's enemy wizard AI is terrible, so to make up for it the AI will cheat like a 'monkey fighter'. Winning on the higher difficulty levels far more often relies on abusing unbalanced spells or exploiting AI quirks than it does actual strategy. b) The game's HUGE variety of spells allows for so many tactics to play around with that you'll be on at least your dozenth game before you even start to care.
