The best thing about Blood is how unique it is. Everything, from the mixed up Weird West/1920s/modern day time of the setting, to the level design and weapon choice is unlike anything else out there. Characters and monsters are very original and even the way you need to fight to progress is unlike a conventional FPS. For example, "Grenades" taking the format of dynamite play a far larger part than in comparable games and you won't get far without getting the hang of using them. The sheer amount of detail, in-jokes and horror film references in this are mind blowing. Light years ahead of Duke Nukem and other Build games, it has aged remarkably well. The sense of humour and use of OTT gore is spot-on and the whole thing plays like a good B-movie. I have owned Blood and the add-ons since the first time around. At this price, it's great to have had GOG do the hard work and set it up in DOS box. At this price, you'd have to be crazy or really dislike FPSes to justify *not* buying it.
