I'm glad my favorite classic RE game is finally avaliable again. The gameplay is nice, I feel like dodging is finally a bit easier and more intuitive than in SourceNext version. HOWEVER. If someone, like me, bought this game and wanted to play it in a higher resolution, they would be disappointed. The 3D models are broken as hell, the backgrounds had visible seams. The backgrounds have already been fixed, but the models are still broken. If you want your game to look well, I suggest you play it how it was meant to be originally played. You can set the resolution in launcher settings to match your screen, but in game, press F1 to enter options, and set it to no more than 640x480. This will, of course, make the game more pixelated, but texture filtering already makes it more bearable, and the broken models won't be that visible. Lots of people are mad at GoG for releasing the game like this, but they're not magicians. If the port they had to work with was f*cked to begin with, their work was a lot harder. Despite that, seeing tha they fixed the backgrounds brings some hope. Maybe if we give them more time they will fix the models too, after all ClassicRebirth guy managed to do so with SourceNext version. That being said, the launch was still disappointing and I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer for the game to release in a better state.
