Cyberpunk 2077

A somewhat painful experience

My dissapointment comes mostly from the fact CDPR was not honest with the consumer about this game's performance and amount of bugs. If they had prepared us in some way, I would have been much more forgiving about the state of the game on release. I have no doubt they will patch and fix most, if not all, bugs in the future but right now I am a bit crushed with it's current release. That said, the gameworld looks amazing and feels wonderfully realized. Apart from some police and enemy AI issues they created an amazing world, fully deserving the hype. They created a city I want to be immersed in. It's just a shame that immersion is constantly shattered by the numerous bugs and visual glitches. In the first 20 minutes I encountered several quest breaking bugs. Next to controller drift which made creating a character a real struggle. The camera would sometimes leave my character during cutscenes and stay there, making me restart the game and the mission only for it to happen again. My PC more than has the minimum required specs so that was never the issue. I feel bad for the developers having crunshed on this game and getting this sort of feedback. I wish it were different. I want to love this game so bad, but I really can't in it's current state. If you can wait, do yourself a favor and wait!. At least until the major bugs have been ironed out. Don't let this release ruin your experience (like it has a little bit for me)
