Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

A Blast From the Past

I know, I know, it's not the best Fallout game, and it's still a buggy mess sometimes, but it's still an enjoyble game, warts and all. While the main questline is uninspired, the hundreds of side quests and distractions more then make up for this. It's no New Vegas, but it's a damn fun game.

XCOM® 2

XCOM 2 is Excellent

For people giving 1 star reviews because this doesn't contain the DLCs: try reading, it helps. This is the base XCOM 2 game. It is excellent in its own right, and the subsequent DLCs add a hell of s lot of great content. The DLCs are NOT included at this time. Don't let that stop you from buying this fantastic game. It's awesome.

SOMA

Excellent and Thought Provoking

I got SOMA for free (thanks, GOG!), and began playing it with little to no expectations. I suppose I anticipated a bog standard gruesome horror fest. What I got, however, was so much more. No spoilers here, but this is not really a horror game, exactly. There are horror elements, but the story is what pulls you in and keeps you there. You spend far more time worrying about existentialism than you do about continuing your existence. This is a game that challenges the player on much more than their reaction times. I enjoyed this title thoroughly, and highly recommend it, especially if you are tired of the typical run and shoot "horror" games out there. Thanks again, GOG, for such an excellent gift!
