The effort to modernize this classic shows with updated graphics, UI tweaks to cast spells, some game play improvements to be less punishing, and even an automap and minimap. Despite alll this, the original games are there for the playing.
Building on the success of D:OS, the devs took it to the next level with more story, better graphics, better combat, and rich builds. While BG3 took the production values to the next level, the fact is the combat here still remains better, since it is not confined to D&D 5e rules.
