Songs of Conquest

Not Heroes of Might and Magic

Yes. As I played this game, it feels less like a Heroes of Might and Magic inspired game, an more like it was inspired by something else. What with player must choose which creature dwellings they can build in their main town. Supports from smaller town. Random skill and skill upgrade to choose for each level-ups. Only 4 factions(or maybe 5 if there's DLC planned). You know what those features reminds me of ? Disciples. And Disciples 2. This game feels like how a sequel to Disciples II suppose to look like. And that is not a bad thing. In fact, it is a beautiful thing. Also, it's kinda insane, that this game is, as of right now, only at its 0.75 version, and already felt like it is bugless and run smoothly on a, for todays gaming rig standard, potato VN7 laptop. When Songs of Conquest compared to the actual successor of Disciples 2, that is Disciples III, let me put it in an analogy: If Disciples 2 is The King Robert who left The Iron Throne empty, then Disciples III is The Geoffrey; And Songs of Conquest is The Jon Snow. So, yeah, this game is not a "Spiritual Successor" to Heroes of Might and Magic(I think Hero's Hour is more than appropriate to earn that title). It is Much Much Better.
